Annemarie Wiley is being proactive about her health.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared that she’ll be undergoing an operation after revealing that doctors discovered a tumor on her gallbladder and gallstones.
“So the gallbladder will be coming out very soon,” the 40-year-old shared on a Sept. 22 Instagram video. “Surgeons were very concerned about there being tumors on my liver, so we had an MRI last week and the MRI did not show any visible tumors or anything anywhere else, so that was incredible news.”
After the surgery, doctors will biopsy her gallbladder to determine whether or not the tumors are cancerous or noncancerous.
“I’m super optimistic, the surgeons are super optimistic,” she shared, “so I’ll keep you guys posted.”
Wiley thanked fans for their support in her caption amid her health battle. She also urged others to “listen to their body” for signs that something might be wrong.
“Guys- please prioritize your mental health and minimize stress - stress can do awful things to our bodies!” the Bravo star wrote. “Focus on what nourishes you: exercise, meditate, stay off social media when needed, and remove toxic situations and people from your life. Your health is your most valuable asset, so protect it fiercely.”
Wiley, a mother of four who is married to former NFL star Marcellus Wiley joined the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast in 2023. However, she exited the show after one season in March.
"I'm disappointed is an understatement," the anesthesiologist wrote on Instagram at the time. "I never auditioned for this show. The show found me and asked me to be on it out of the blue 6 weeks after the cast had already started filming. I was thrown into filming 2 weeks later, mid-season."
She added, "What I am disappointed about is that the fans never got to see the real me or even a glimpse of my unique life story."
